Commercial Banker Development Trainee

This 24-month Commercial Banker Development Program is designed to develop highly skilled and knowledgeable commercial bankers capable of building and managing client relationships, evaluating credit risk, and driving business growth in the various UMB regions. Key Responsibilities include Developing professional skills through training, mentorship, and hands-on experience; Developing sales and cold calling skills; Attending business and networking events to build relationships; Assisting with market research and credit analysis for loan customers; Supporting the credit evaluation process, including financial statement analysis and loan structuring; Taking on special projects to enhance learning and contribute to business goals; and Other duties as assigned. This program offers a structured, hands-on pathway into commercial banking. Must have a Bachelor's degree in a business-related field; Basic knowledge of banking/finance field; Leadership roles at school, at work and/or in the community; Ability to work independently and collaborate with others; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Strong relationship-building and networking skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Motivated and an organized self-starter; Ability to demonstrate resiliency; Learn and become familiar with bank policies and practices regarding authorized use of credit information; Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Compensation Ranges:

US Employees in California, Washington DC, New Jersey, and New York:

$54,220 - $79,020

US Employees in Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin:

$49,510 - $72,340

US Employees in all other states not listed above:

$44,790 - $65,650
