HVAC Service Sales Representative - Commercial HVAC

Charlotte, North Carolina | Full-Time, Field-Based | Base salary plus commission | Company vehicle or allowance

Sell service agreements, not one-off jobs.

Our client provides commercial and industrial HVAC, building controls, electrical, and plumbing services as part of a growing multi-state platform. Their customers are facility leaders at distribution centers, industrial plants, universities, airports, healthcare facilities, and more.

The person in this seat grows the Charlotte service business. You find new commercial customers, sell maintenance and service agreements, and keep those accounts renewing and expanding.

What you will actually do

• Prospect and qualify new commercial and industrial customers through a disciplined sales process.
• Book and run sales calls with facility leaders to uncover HVAC, ventilation, and controls problems.
• Build proposals around renewable maintenance agreements, sustainability, and digital service offerings, then close them.
• Run customer kick-off meetings and spot pull-through opportunities.
• Renew and extend service agreements, and support collections when needed.
• Build a referral network and a territory marketing plan for the Charlotte market.
• Keep the CRM current so leadership always knows where every account stands.

What this job is not

This is not an inside sales or order-taking seat. You will be in the field daily, visiting multiple customer sites.

What you need to have done

• 2-3 years of progressive sales experience.
• Sold service or maintenance agreements.
• Working knowledge of building HVAC systems, with an aptitude for technical detail.
• Strong presentation skills, one-on-one and in front of a group.
• Comfort with numbers: rates, ratios, percentages, and graphs.
• Self-motivated and organized, with the follow-through to manage multiple tasks.

• Base salary plus commission, paid weekly.

Physical requirements

Daily travel to customer sites. Regular standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and crawling. Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
