Shift Details

Shift Type: Day 3x12-Hour

Shift Hours: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM

Variable shift with a 12-hour duration, starting at either 07:00 or 19:00.

Job Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of charge experience preferred.
Patient Ratios: 2 patients per nurse.
Experience with charting systems such as Epic is preferred.
Must possess valid state license.
Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.

Skills & Experience

Assists with chest tube insertion and removal.
Experience in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
Cares for ventilated patients.
Handles CVA/acute stroke management.
Knowledge of hypothermia protocol and Arctic Sun treatment.
Experience with ICP monitoring and infection prevention.
Familiar with isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Experience in various intensive care units: Medical ICU, Neuro ICU, and Surgical ICU.
Management of post-craniotomy and post-neurosurgery patients.
Experience dealing with spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries.

Unit Details

Staffing & Scheduling:

Self-scheduling available.
Weekend coverage required.
Orientation hours: 12.

Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics

Daily Census: Approximately 10 patients

Number of Beds: 20

Applicants may be expected to float between sister facilities as needed. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment or loss of guaranteed hours.
