Tufts University Counseling And Mental Health ServiceTufts University Counseling and Mental Health Service (CMHS) is a division of Tufts Department of Health and Wellness, which also includes Tufts Health Service. The Department contributes to the educational mission of the university through a variety of activities devoted to prevention, intervention, and consultation. Serving a diverse student body of approximately 8600 undergraduate and graduate students on two campuses, CMHS is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment which is inclusive and culturally informed. We are a multicultural team with an ongoing focus on equity and inclusion. We bring energy and a collaborative approach to the provision of brief counseling and psychiatric services. In addition, we are active on campus doing training, outreach and liaison work, as well as consulting to the Tufts communities of students, parents, faculty, and staff regarding students of concern. We also provide mental health crisis intervention and after hours on-call services to the campus community.What You'll DoThe CMHS Staff Clinician with a Latinx focus functions as a member of the CMHS Clinical Team, providing the full range of mental health services to Tufts University students from the Medford and SMFA campuses. These services include:Assessment; individual, couples, group counselingCrisis interventionLiaison/outreach activities, and community consultationAdditionally, as part of the Clinical Team and the Division, the clinician participates in meetings, trainings, committees, etc. The successful candidate should:Have demonstrated experience providing relevant and effective therapeutic services to Latinx/Afro-Latinx/Latine college and graduate students.Be able to provide relevant and effective therapeutic services to the diverse student population, including but not limited to BIPOC students and communities, LGBTQ+ students, and students with a wide range of ethnicities, immigration histories, and intersecting identities.The position also includes participation in 24-hour emergency on-call rotations, involving occasional telephone and/or face-to-face after-hours evaluations when necessary.Other duties as assigned.What We're Looking ForBasic Requirements:Doctorate in Psychology, LICSW, current LICSW in Massachusetts, or licensed/license-eligible Massachusetts Psychologist Provider requiredRequires demonstrated expertise working with Latinx/Latine students and an ability to serve the full range of the Tufts student community, including provision of relevant and effective services to diverse populations including, but not limited to BIPOC students, international students, LGBTQ+ students, as well as students with intersectional identities and various immigration historiesRequires clinical experience involving brief therapy and crisis intervention with college student/young adult populations; strong generalist experience working with a wide range of presenting issues common in college populations including stress and anxiety management, eating and body image issues, trauma, substance abuse, non-suicidal self-injury, suicidality, depression and mood disorders, etc.Ability to participate in after-hours on-call rotation and other after-hours campus activitiesPreferred Qualifications:Bilingual (Spanish speaking) candidates are urged to applyExperience working within electronic medical records systems preferredPay RangeMinimum $79,600.00, Midpoint $99,600.00, Maximum $119,500.00 Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
