About the Position

Job Title: Certified Surgical Technician CVOR Profession: Certified Surgical Technician Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Valid Surgical Technician License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Minimum of 3 years of recent full-time experience as a CVOR CST in a high-volume hospital setting. Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. Ability to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment. Verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no additional training was needed. Description: The CVOR service line provides surgical interventions for routine and complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. Cardiac procedures include coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, heart transplantation, and placement of ventricular assist devices. Additional procedures may include impella or intra-aortic balloon pump placement as well as adult ECMO. TAVR procedures are also conducted in the endovascular OR. Thoracic cases encompass both laparoscopic and robot-assisted procedures, as well as open surgeries. Vascular procedures range from placement/revision of grafts/fistulas to endovascular interventions in the endovascular OR. The CVOR service line encompasses multiple ORs, including an endovascular suite. It has the capacity to conduct four concurrent procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass. Candidates must be prepared to provide weekend coverage, with shifts typically occurring on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. Participation in a call schedule is optional and at the discretion of the associate.
