Job Overview:

The Staff Accountant I role is an experienced individual contributor position that operates with minimal supervision. This role is responsible for managing workstreams, projects, or end-to-end processes within Accounting Operations. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to influence operational practices. The Staff Accountant I will collaborate with stakeholders to drive accurate execution, resolve complex issues, and strengthen outcomes and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Work independently with minimal supervision, taking ownership of tasks, priorities, and deliverables.
• Manage entire projects or processes, including developing plans, setting milestones, monitoring progress, and ensuring successful outcomes.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and training to peers and junior colleagues by sharing expertise and best practices.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates and resolving inquiries professionally.
• Influence operational practices by presenting recommendations and collaborating with stakeholders to align practices across functions.
• Solve complex, multifaceted problems by analyzing root causes and interdependencies and applying critical thinking to develop solutions.
• Conduct in-depth analysis to assess impacts and determine the best course of action.
• Contribute to department results by collaborating across teams and sharing knowledge to improve overall performance.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in accounting or finance.
• Demonstrated experience in accounting operations or finance operations with the ability to operate independently and deliver results.
• Proven ability to manage end-to-end processes or projects, including planning, milestones, and delivery.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including handling issues involving multiple stakeholders or specialties.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder partnering skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in developing and implementing process improvements and monitoring their effectiveness.
• Experience in training or coaching peers or junior colleagues in best practices and standard work.

Pay Range: $35 - $41/hour on W2

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
