Senior Reliability Engineer (RCM Specialist)
Location: Houston, TX Onsite
Job Description
Seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer / RCM Specialist to support a refinery reliability program. The role will focus on RCM analysis, reliability modeling, maintenance strategy development, and integration of RCM outputs into SAP/EAM systems .
Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end RCM studies for rotating, static, electrical, and instrumentation equipment, including system boundaries, FMEA, criticality ranking, and maintenance task selection .

Facilitate RCM workshops with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering SMEs .

Perform RCFA and bad-actor analysis to identify reliability improvement opportunities.

Use ReliaSoft Weibull++, BlockSim, XFMEA, and/or RCM++ for failure-data analysis, Weibull modeling, reliability simulations, and RCM documentation.

Develop reliability metrics including MTBF, MTTR, and hazard rates .

Convert RCM/FMEA recommendations into PM tasks, maintenance plans, task intervals, and job plans .

Load and validate maintenance strategies in SAP PM or equivalent EAM/CMMS such as Maximo , ensuring alignment with equipment hierarchy and functional locations.

Prepare RCM registers, FMEA worksheets, criticality assessments, maintenance strategies, and gap-analysis reports .

Work directly with client Reliability, Maintenance, Operations, and Master Data/CMMS teams to validate and implement recommendations.
Required Qualifications

Strong hands-on Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) experience.

Experience performing FMEA, criticality analysis, and RCFA .

Hands-on experience with ReliaSoft reliability software.

Experience with SAP PM, Maximo, or another EAM/CMMS platform .

Experience developing and optimizing maintenance strategies and PM programs .

Experience with industrial/refinery, petrochemical, chemical, or similar process equipment .

Strong analytical, technical documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

Must be available to work onsite in Houston, TX .
