Emergency Room Registered Nurse
The Full Time Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides rapid, high-quality care to patients with urgent and life-threatening conditions in a fast-paced environment. This role requires critical thinking, teamwork, and commitment to patient-centered emergency care. The position supports the team-oriented ER department in Albuquerque, NM, offering competitive compensation and a unique Southwestern lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a busy Emergency Department
- Perform rapid patient assessments and triage based on acuity
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency treatments per physician orders
- Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Document patient care accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards
- Educate patients and families regarding treatments, procedures, and discharge instructions
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety guidelines, and emergency protocols
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact license
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
