Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position is for a Pharmacy Technician on a 13-week contract with potential for extension or transition to hire. Situated in an office setting in Clearwater, FL, this role operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a start date approximately two weeks after the offer is accepted.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and fill prescriptions accurately, including handling insurance adjudications and resolving rejections.
• Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification.
• Perform data entry and manage prescription documentation while maintaining communication with patients and prescribers.
• Maintain inventory through daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration date reviews.
• Assist with returns, medication quarantines, and destruction procedures.
• Cross-train across pharmacy functions and support department operations as needed.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Education level must be clearly stated on the resume (HS, GED, Bachelor’s, etc.).
• Must be a registered pharmacy technician in the State of Florida with national certification (PTCB, NHA, ExCPT acceptable).
• At least 2+ years of recent pharmacy technician experience in retail, closed door, mail order, or long-term care settings.
