MANAGER

Job Title

The role involves making plans that affect the organization's long range goals, objectives, and direction, requiring an analytical approach to forecast future trends and outcomes.

The position includes coordinating and integrating the work of lower organizational units, each with distinct areas of responsibility and requiring different skills, knowledge, and abilities to perform the work.

It also involves identifying where correction action is needed and providing assistance and advice to branch members, division leadership team, and division-wide project leads and engineers.

The role requires working closely with other supervisors and managers outside the unit to further activity and agency programs.

Managing and supervising in a complex/dynamic team environment and personnel of varying disciplines and grade levels is part of the job.

Mentoring, evaluating, and coaching government employees providing expert engineering oversight and technical direction to employees assigned to the Division is also included.

Liaison with sponsors, customers, and end-users to assure products and services meet Fleet readiness requirements and assure they remain current and relevant is part of the duties.

Utilizing effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to conduct briefings for senior staff and flag officers, senior government and contractor representatives is required.
