Job Specification

Oversee daily operations of the labor and delivery unit, ensuring safe and effective patient care. Provide leadership, support, and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and professional environment. Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with best practices in maternal and neonatal care. Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care. Monitor patient outcomes, ensuring compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.

Candidate Requirements

Candidates must have graduated from an accredited nursing school with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). A minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience and one to two years of management experience is required. A current Nevada RN license and ACLS, NRP, and BCLS certifications are mandatory. Applicants must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate patient care. Employees in this role as of July 1, 2020, have until January 1, 2022, to obtain a BSN.
