Global Tax Director

Job Title: Global Tax Director Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Global Tax Director to lead all aspects of tax compliance and provision for a growing, multinational organization. This role will serve as a key business partner to senior leadership, ensuring tax efficiency, regulatory compliance, and strong internal controls across domestic and international operations. Key Responsibilities: Lead global tax compliance, including U.S. federal, state, and international filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Oversee the quarterly and annual tax provision process (ASC 740), including financial statement reporting and disclosures Manage and improve tax processes, controls, and documentation to support audit readiness Partner with finance and accounting teams on tax implications of business initiatives, transactions, and expansion into new markets Monitor and interpret changes in tax legislation and assess impact on the organization Drive tax planning strategies to optimize the company’s global effective tax rate Manage relationships with external advisors, auditors, and tax authorities Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing tax team Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Active CPA license (required) 10 years of progressive tax experience, including leadership experience Strong background in both tax compliance and provision Deep knowledge of U.S. and international tax regulations Experience working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills Vaco by Highspring values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
