Role Description The Assistant Manager: Customer Experience and Merchandising is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Salem, NH. This role supports the store leadership team by overseeing daily floor operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining visual merchandising standards. Responsibilities include coaching and guiding team members on selling behaviors, assisting customers with product selection, and resolving service issues in a professional and timely manner. The Assistant Manager will help plan and execute floor sets, seasonal displays, signage, and product placement to maximize sales and align with brand guidelines. Additional duties include monitoring inventory levels on the sales floor, supporting shipment processing, helping manage staffing on shifts, and ensuring adherence to company policies and safety procedures. Qualifications Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service, including active listening, problem‑solving, and creating a welcoming in‑store experience. Experience with visual merchandising, floor set execution, and maintaining appealing product presentations aligned with brand standards. Supervisory or team‑lead experience in retail or a related customer‑facing environment, with skills in coaching, feedback, and day‑to‑day task delegation. Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced store. Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with diverse customers and collaborate with team members and leadership. Comfort with basic retail technology, such as point‑of‑sale systems, inventory tools, and standard office applications. Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move merchandise as needed, and work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
