We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who is currently pursuing a degree or career path in Accounting or Finance and is eager to gain real-world, hands-on accounting experience in a growing business environment.

This part-time position is ideal for a student who wants to build their accounting knowledge while working alongside an experienced team. We understand school comes first and are happy to work around class schedules and availability. This role will work up to 30 hours per week.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, eager to learn, and excited to grow professionally through experience in accounts receivable, reconciliations, collections, and day-to-day accounting operations.

While the primary focus of this role is accounting support, this position will also assist with light office and administrative responsibilities to help keep our workplace organized, welcoming, and running smoothly. We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to jump in and help wherever needed.

A Day in the Life of the Accounting Assistant:

Accounting & Accounts Receivable Responsibilities:

• Run weekly AR aging reports
• Correct customer payment terms as needed
• Monitor Sales Orders for deposit collections
• Handle AR collection calls and emails professionally
• Process credit card payments
• Enter customer payments into our Quickbooks accounting system
• Assist with invoicing jobs
• Reconcile bank statements
• Manage employee credit cards and receipts
• Enter receipts and collect missing receipts from team members
• Assist with monthly closing tasks and accounting support

Additional Office Support Responsibilities:

• Greet guests, clients, and vendors professionally
• Assist with stocking and ordering office and kitchen supplies
• Help keep common areas organized and tidy
• Check and distribute incoming mail and packages
• Run occasional business errands such as bank deposits and post office runs
• Support various departments with administrative needs as needed

A Few Qualifications This Person Must Have:

• Pursuing an Accounting degree or interested in building a career in accounting preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently while staying accountable
• Basic understanding of accounting principles is a plus
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Compensation:

• $16.00$19.00 per hour, depending on experience
