Accounting Manager

Benefits: 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Apex Marine, a division of Off The Hook Yacht Sales (OTHYS) is looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager to run the financial engine room of our Miami operation. If you love owning the numbers - from daily cash to month-end close to the audit - and want a direct line to the CFO, this is your seat at the table. The Role Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll oversee day-to-day accounting operations for Apex Marine - keeping our financial records accurate, our payroll on time, and our close process tight. You'll be the person leadership turns to for clear numbers and sharper processes. Ready to run the numbers that run our business? What You’ll Do Own daily accounting operations and the general ledger. Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and drive month-end close. Build monthly financial statements and supporting schedules. Manage accounts payable, vendor payments, and accounts receivable collectability. Process bi-weekly payroll, including taxes, benefit deductions, PTO, and onboarding paperwork. Perform bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash activity. Maintain fixed asset records and prepare sales tax filings. Strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Partner with external auditors and support financial audits. Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc reporting for executive leadership. Spot opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems - and drive them. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. A track record with payroll, month-end close, and financial reporting. Strong Excel skills and comfort in an ERP/accounting system. Sharp organization, clear communication, and an analytical mindset. CPA a plus, but not required.
