Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician position is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on facility machinery, equipment, and tooling. This position ensures the availability of spare parts and supplies, maintains accurate preventative maintenance documentation, inspecting and diagnosing malfunctions and breakdown, and performs repairs. This position also supports equipment setup activities.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair facility, machinery, equipment, and toolingPerform regular preventative maintenance checks and document activitiesAssists in maintaining the organization of the maintenance shop and adequate parts inventoryMaintain records of preventative maintenance and repairs in CMMSRecord usage of spare parts in CMMS systemPerform Lockout/Tagout procedures during equipment servicingSupport emergency and on-call maintenance requirementsCommunicate and collaborate with all departmentsFollow and comply with all safety work rules and regulationsThis job description is not all-inclusive. Perform other duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned by the supervisorQualificationsTwo-year technical degree in maintenance preferredTwo plus years of Maintenance Technician experience preferredTechnical training in welding, electrical, pneumatics or hydraulics preferredAbility to read and follow standardized maintenance instructions and manuals, and abide by safety rules and regulationsUnderstand and follow written, verbal, or diagrammed instructionsAbility to read and interpret electric/hydraulic schematics and blueprintsAbility to perform basic math operationsIdentify and resolve routine maintenance problems involving multiple variablesApply logical thinking and sound judgment in daily operationsAbility to write routine reportsMust communicate effectively and respectfully with othersAbility to operate forklift and scissor lift requiredAbility to work overtime or weekends may be requiredWork EnvironmentThis role operates in both office and shop floor environments. It involves routine use of office equipment and frequent interaction with cross-functional teams. Shop floor exposure includes moderate noise, heat/humidity, and proximity to machinery.Travel: No regular travel is required for this position, but travel opportunities may be available for training or other site support needs.Physical DemandsStand, walk, or sit for extended periodsFrequent use of hands/fingers to operate tools and materialsRegular reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, or crawlingVisual acuity for close/distance work and focus adjustmentAbility to lift or carry up to 50 lbs., with lifting both above shoulder height and below the waist frequentlyPosition Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time 2nd shift position. 2nd shift hours are Mondays-Thursdays 2:50pm-12:50am.
