We are looking for a creative, reliable videographer and editor with strong short-form social media experience to work with a recording artist and his creative team.

The role involves capturing and editing authentic, engaging content around the artist’s music, personality, lifestyle, and day-to-day activities.

Applicants must currently live in the Miami area and be available for regular in-person work. Relocation is not being considered for this role.

Content may include behind-the-scenes moments, studio sessions, rehearsals, meetings, performances, events, lifestyle footage, planned social concepts, and spontaneous moments throughout the artist’s schedule.

Applicants must have experience creating social content centered around a person, such as a musician, creator, influencer, personal brand, public figure, or other personality-led account.

Experience working with commercial brands is welcome, but your portfolio must include examples that demonstrate your ability to capture an individual’s personality and create compelling people-focused social content.

Responsibilities

• Film high-quality vertical content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Stories, and other social platforms.
• Edit short-form social videos from start to finish.
• Capture behind-the-scenes, lifestyle, personality-driven, music, performance, and promotional content.
• Collaborate with the creative and social teams on content concepts, hooks, and shoot ideas.
• Create simple shot lists and content plans before filming when needed.
• Come to shoots prepared with ideas rather than waiting for constant direction.
• Identify opportunities for additional content based on the artist’s schedule, location, music, and personality.
• Suggest alternate takes, angles, hooks, or formats that could improve the final content.
• Help translate broader creative direction into practical short-form video concepts.
• Identify strong natural moments without requiring constant direction.
• Turn longer footage into multiple short-form content pieces.
• Create multiple hooks, cuts, or variations when appropriate.
• Add captions, music, pacing, transitions, and platform-appropriate formatting.
• Follow creative direction while bringing ideas and initiative to shoots.
• Organize, label, upload, and manage footage after content sessions.
• Communicate clearly regarding scheduling, project status, and delivery.
• Handle unreleased music, private conversations, and personal information with discretion.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who can think creatively and independently, not only execute instructions. You should be comfortable contributing ideas, building shot lists, planning content, and identifying opportunities the team may not have explicitly outlined.

• Proven experience filming and editing short-form social media content.
• Portfolio examples featuring musicians, creators, influencers, personal brands, public figures, or other personality-led content.
• Strong understanding of Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and current social formats.
• Strong visual instincts around framing, lighting, sound, pacing, storytelling, and capturing personality.
• Ability to recognize compelling moments quickly.
• Self-starter who takes initiative and works well without constant direction.
• Comfortable receiving feedback and revising work.
• Reliable, organized, responsive, and punctual.
• Comfortable working closely with a recording artist while remaining unobtrusive when needed.
• Experience with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar editing software.
• Reliable transportation throughout the Miami area.
• Flexible availability, including some evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement.

Bonus Skills

Photography, graphic design, social media management, content ideation, or experience working in music or entertainment are a plus.
