Relationship Banker

Regions is seeking a Relationship Banker I to deliver exceptional customer experience on the cash line and by phone, while helping customers with routine banking needs and financial wellness. The role focuses on creating meaningful personal connections, processing transactions, identifying customer needs, and assisting with end-to-end customer service inquiries. This position suits candidates with prior teller, limited banking, or some retail sales experience who are seeking growth and development opportunities. Strong communication skills and personalized customer service are essential. Primary Responsibilities Provides a consistent optimal customer experience on the cash line while handling transactional needs (deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other teller transactions). Responds to customer inquiries about products and services and fulfills basic servicing requests (new/replacement cards, information changes, PIN resets, check reorders, and basic problem resolution). Develops relationships with customers and stays informed about their relationship with the bank. Educates customers on standard consumer products and digital solutions (mobile, online, and ATM offerings). Assists branch and team members with basic tasks to aid in customer problem resolution. Refers customers to internal specialists when more complex financial goals arise. Follows bank processes and procedures, adheres to laws and regulations, and supports sound banking practices and risk management. Works to achieve branch targets by identifying customer needs and guiding Regions solutions. May conduct outbound calls to educate customers on technology and assist with financial needs. This position requires tracking time for hours beyond 40 per week and is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act. This role is incentive eligible. Requirements High School Diploma or GED Ability to work Saturdays as needed Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions Ability to communicate in person, on the phone, and through electronic channels Ability to use a computer frequently, including typing and sustained monitor attention Ability to walk and stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds Preferences One (1) year of banking, cash-handling, and/or customer service experience Skills and Competencies Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously Ability to oversee large sums of cash Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills Position Type Full time Compensation Details Pay ranges are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Job Range Target: Minimum: $39,601.10 USD Median: $46,880.00 USD Incentive Pay Plans: This role is eligible to participate in a formulaic incentive plan with potential to earn incentives based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
