Position: Roofing Sales Representative (Outside Sales)

Position Summary
The Roofing Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business, educating homeowners on roofing solutions, conducting property inspections, and guiding customers through the insurance and sales process. This is a field-based, customer-focused role that rewards self-motivated individuals with strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Prospect for new business through door-to-door canvassing, referrals, networking, and community outreach.
• Conduct roof inspections to identify storm, hail, wind, or age-related damage.
• Educate homeowners on roofing products, repair and replacement options, and the insurance claims process.
• Generate and qualify leads, schedule appointments, and present roofing solutions.
• Prepare and deliver estimates and sales proposals.
• Negotiate contracts and close residential roofing sales.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure a smooth handoff after the sale.
• Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build long-term customer relationships that generate referrals and repeat business.
• Accurately document customer interactions, inspections, and sales activity in the CRM.
• Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales goals while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Qualifications

• Previous sales, customer service, or canvassing experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Comfortable working outdoors and traveling throughout assigned territories.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience in roofing, construction, or home services is a plus but not required.
