Brake Press Operator

Job Description

Cardinal Staffing is hiring a Brake Press Operator for a local manufacturing facility to set up and operate press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape metal plates and sheets according to specifications.
What You'll Do:

• Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape metal plates and sheets according to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine job requirements
• Select appropriate tooling and ensure proper alignment for each job
• Perform basic math calculations to determine bend allowances and angles
• Monitor machine operation to ensure quality control standards are met
• Inspect finished products for accuracy and compliance with specifications
• Perform routine maintenance on press brake machinery as needed
• Assist with materials handling, including loading and unloading metal sheets
• Collaborate with team members to assemble fabricated parts as required
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:

• Proficient in operating press brake machinery and related tools
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
• Basic math skills for calculating bend allowances and angles
• Attention to detail for quality control purposes
• Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar computer-aided design software is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues with tooling or machinery
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members

Shifts:

• 1st shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay:

• $20 - $25 Based on experience
