The Role

Work Model: Onsite
Work Schedule: Full-time; approximately 40 hours per week, with overtime as scheduled
Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
Travel Requirements: None
Supervisory Responsibilities: No formal supervisory responsibility
Reports to: Terminal or Warehouse Manager

Summary / Primary Role

The Warehouse Lead oversees day-to-day warehouse and supply chain activities while safely performing shipping, receiving, material handling, and forklift operations. This role helps guide Warehouse Associates, supports efficient loading and unloading operations, and ensures that safety procedures and company standards are consistently followed.

The Warehouse Lead will also assist with training temporary labor, maintaining accurate documentation, communicating operational issues to management, and keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.

What You'll Do

We are seeking a hands-on warehouse professional with strong forklift experience and leadership skills who can help coordinate daily warehouse operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety, productivity, and service.

• Warehouse Operations
  
  • Coordinate and participate in shipping, receiving, loading, unloading, and material-handling activities.
  • Safely operate assigned forklifts and other warehouse equipment, including forklifts with capacities of up to 55,000 lbs.
  • Complete required paperwork and maintain communication with the Shipping/Receiving office.
• Safety & Compliance
  
  • Follow OSHA requirements and company safety procedures at all times.
  • Complete forklift pre-trip inspections and safely change propane tanks as needed.
  • Ensure appropriate PPE is worn and immediately report accidents, damages, claims, equipment issues, or other safety concerns.
• Team Support & Leadership
  
  • Help guide Warehouse Associates and participate in training temporary labor.
  • Assist with warehouse planning and daily workflow to ensure materials are moved efficiently.
  • Maintain clean and safe warehouse floors and work areas.
• Inventory & Freight Handling
  
  • Document temperatures for refrigerated freight when required.
  • Safely handle incoming and outgoing materials while protecting freight from damage.
  • Work effectively in extreme temperatures, including environments as cold as -20°F.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience required.
• Previous Warehouse Lead or other warehouse leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrated forklift operation experience required.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts with capacities up to 55,000 lbs.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety and material-handling procedures.
• Ability to lead by example and support other warehouse employees.
• Strong communication, organization, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently lift up to 40 lbs., with occasional lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to work in extreme outdoor and warehouse temperatures, including temperatures as low as -20°F.
• Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and accountable.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while handling multiple priorities.

Compensation & Schedule Details

Base Pay Range: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour
Bonus Eligible: No
Commission Eligible: No

The position is expected to average approximately 40 hours per week , with overtime required as scheduled. Employees must work a minimum of 30 hours per week to maintain full-time status for benefits purposes.

No relocation allowance will be considered unless specifically addressed. All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

This is a safety-sensitive position and is subject to a 5-panel drug test, including marijuana .

The physical demands of this position include frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs. and occasional lifting of up to 70 lbs. The role requires extended periods of standing and walking, reaching above the head, grasping and handling materials, and working in potentially inclement weather and extreme temperatures.
