Part Time Faculty - Systems Engineering

Overview Loyola Marymount University’s Frank R. Seaver College of Science and Engineering is collecting resumes for potential Part‑Time faculty positions for its M.S. Systems Engineering program. The position, when needed, is assumed to be a one‑semester appointment to teach 1–2 courses. Current applications will be reviewed as openings occur. Applications submitted as early as possible will be retained on file. Responsibilities Prepare and distribute a course syllabus. Prepare and lead class sessions. Hold regular office hours and respond to student questions. Develop, distribute, and grade discussion materials, homework, quizzes, and other course materials. Write, proctor, and grade midterm and final examinations. Maintain and submit class records, such as attendance and grade reports, in a timely manner. Attend meetings and training as needed. Comply with all university standards and requirements. Qualifications Relevant teaching experience, with industry experience in Systems Engineering. Prior teaching experience is preferable. Ability to use browser‑based software services, and standard classroom and office equipment. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Genuine interest in meeting the educational needs of students, and sensitivity to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, and cultural/ethnic backgrounds of students. Minimum of a Master’s degree in a relevant field. Salary Minimum salary is $2,517 per unit taught. Application Instructions Submit applications online at .
