Our client, a well-established industrial organization in the Greer, SC area is seeking a Buyer to support the sourcing of specialized metal components used in demanding manufacturing environments.
This role is best suited for someone with direct experience purchasing fasteners, hardware, precision metal components, or similar engineered parts . Experience supporting automotive or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
What you’ll be doing
Source and purchase engineered components from domestic and international suppliers
Request, evaluate, and compare supplier quotations
Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms
Place purchase orders for new and existing materials
Support cost-reduction and supplier-development initiatives
Work closely with internal teams to ensure material availability and supplier performance
Review technical requirements and drawings as part of the sourcing process
What we’re looking for
2+ years of purchasing, sourcing, or buyer experience involving fasteners, hardware, or engineered metal parts
Experience in automotive, industrial manufacturing, aerospace, or another quality-driven environment
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Exposure to industry standards and part specifications
Experience working within an ERP or MRP environment
Strong supplier negotiation and communication skills
Comfortable managing multiple sourcing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Highly desirable
Direct experience purchasing nuts, bolts, screws, rivets, threaded components, or related fastening products
Experience supporting automotive OEM or supplier environments
Experience sourcing new components from drawing or specification
What we’re looking for
