Thank you for your interest in a career with us. | My Account Options Job Description - Senior Truck Dispatcher (263159) Job Description Senior Truck Dispatcher - 263159 - Full-time Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Job Number: 263159 Job overview: Cowan is seeking a Senior Truck Dispatcher in Burlington to oversee owner-operator truck drivers and ensure customer freight is successfully delivered. The Senior Truck Dispatcher will serve as the primary point of contact for owner-operators and provide coaching to them on service performance, fleet utilization and on-time deliveries. Responsibilities: Address safety and performance concerns with owner-operators and provide resources for problem resolution. Ensure owner-operators are compliant with DOT regulations and requirements. Confirm freight is dispatched and delivered on time, and communicate with the customer if there are delays. Address concerns from customers and elevate issues when needed. Be responsible for documentation related to driver pay and customer invoices. Perform regular performance reviews and identify areas of opportunity for improvement. Ensure equipment utilization is optimized. Skills and qualifications: A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of DOT regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
