Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology

Position Overview: This role involves working within a medical/surgical oncology unit that requires the administration of chemotherapy and blood products. The position involves floating to different units as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy and manage blood product transfusions.
• Provide care for patients on a medical/surgical oncology unit.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain patient records and documentation using the Cerner EMR system.

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Indiana.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Oncology experience is preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Must obtain chemotherapy and biotherapy certification within one year of employment.

Unit Information:

• 24 bed medical/surgical oncology unit.
• Scrub color: Navy blue.

Work Schedule:

This position requires working the night shift from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend.

Additional Information:

Travelers must be located at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered for this position.
