This position is responsible for opening the Fitness Floor promptly, preparing equipment and work areas, and maintaining a positive environment for members and guests. The successful candidate will engage with members, provide basic assistance and guidance, monitor the fitness floor for safety, and support the overall member experience. This role is ideal for a dependable, self-motivated individual who enjoys working independently and creating a positive atmosphere during early morning hours. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Ability to consistently arrive and begin work by 5:15 a.m. Basic knowledge of fitness equipment and gym safety practices Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, cleaning, bending, and standing for extended periods Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a fitness center, health club, or customer service environment CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Knowledge of fitness and wellness principles Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision Open the Fitness Floor by 5:15 a.m., ensuring all systems, lighting, and equipment are operational and ready for member use Conduct routine inspections of fitness equipment and facility areas Clean and sanitize equipment and common areas throughout the shift Greet members and provide a welcoming, professional presence Assist members with basic equipment usage and answer general facility questions Monitor the fitness floor to ensure safe equipment use and adherence to facility policies Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, and safety concerns promptly Restock supplies, assist with towel service, and support general facility upkeep Promote a positive, safe, and motivating fitness environment Required Skills Excellent customer service and communication skills Reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety Basic understanding of fitness equipment and exercise environments #J-18808-Ljbffr
