School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist for a rewarding school-based opportunity in Rockford, Illinois . This full-time, in-person role offers strong hourly compensation, consistent weekly hours, and the chance to tailor your caseload based on your experience and preferences.

Position Overview

The School Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for conducting student evaluations and delivering high-quality speech and language therapy services. You will develop, implement, and document individualized plans of care in compliance with physician orders, educational guidelines, and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students

• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans

• Provide direct therapy services in a school setting

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and district requirements

• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success

Assignment Details

• Location: Rockford, IL

• Setting: In-person, school-based

• Caseload: TBD, based on experience and preference

• Start Date: August 24, 2026

• Contract Length: 36 weeks

• Hours per Week: Minimum 35 hours; most clinicians work 37.5-40 hours weekly

• Pay: Up to $80 per hour

Minimum Requirements

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of Illinois

• CCC-SLP preferred and may be required by state or contract

• Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR certification , if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable

• Current health certificate per state regulation or contract

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
