Nucor supports its teammates with top-tier benefits like Medical, Dental, Vision, and Disability Insurance, 401K and Roth accounts, Profit sharing, Pay-for-performance bonuses, Paid parental leave, Tuition reimbursement, Stock program, Scholarships and more.Basic Job Functions:Assists workers engaged in the fabrication of structural or sheet metal products by performing any combination of the following tasks:Lifts, positions, and removes workpieces from machines to assist in fitting.Loads, stacks, and transports stock, tools, dies, and work-in-progress by hand or truck.Cuts material using a saw cutting machine; a bandsaw cutting, particularly cutting multiple dimensions of square tubing, including structural channel.Might work on I-Beam cutting as well.Reads drawings and blueprints.Understand and follow safety procedures and guidelines.Performs other duties as assigned.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Qualifications:Previous manufacturing experience or saw operating experience.Able to work 10–12-hour rotational shifts as needed, overtime, weekends, and holidays.Able to lift 50 lbs.Ability to work with hand tools.Being able to read a tape measure.Preferred Qualifications:1-2 years of experience working in a machine shop environment.Nucor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace
