As a key partner to executive leadership, the Controller will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and advancing the firm’s accounting function. As the Controller, You Will Provide leadership to the accounting team, including coaching, mentoring, and professional development, while delivering regular performance feedback Prepare and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP and adherence to the close calendar, identifying and resolving any discrepancies Oversee the monthly close of the General Ledger and consolidation and reporting of financial results Coordinate and oversee the annual audit process with external auditors Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and effectiveness Oversee accounts payable processes, including vendor payments, and provide oversight of payroll operations Monitor cash flow and manage budgeting and forecasting activities Assist in strategic financial planning and risk management initiatives Collaborate closely with the CFO and executive leadership on financial strategies What You Bring To The Role Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field CPA designation preferred Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including roles as a Controller or Assistant Controller Demonstrated experience managing accounting teams and overseeing financial reporting within a large or complex organization Excellent leadership and team management capabilities Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills for diverse audiences Ability to develop and implement strategic financial plans Detail‑oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems, preferably Workday Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills In‑depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards Ability to analyze complex financial data and present actionable insights What You Can Expect From Us Our shared values that foster inclusion and belonging including uncompromising integrity, collaboration, trust, and mutual respect The opportunity to innovate and do work that motivates and engages you A collaborative environment focused on enabling you to further your career growth and continuous professional development Competitive compensation and a total rewards package that focuses on all aspects of your wellbeing Flexibility to do impactful work and the time to enjoy your life outside of work Opportunities to connect and learn from professionals from different backgrounds and with different cultures Pay Range $164,200 - $285,000 per year Benefits Cherry Bekaert cares about our people.
