Controller Full Time Louisville, KY, US 3 days ago Requisition ID: 1380 First Class Air Support is currently seeking a Controller to develop and support short and long-term operational strategies by managing company budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes. This position will produce thorough financial-status reports for senior management to help improve efficiency and aid in continued growth. Essential Job Functions: Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs, and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis in conjunction with VP Finance- Corporate Controller and CFO Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, upholding federal, state, and local legal standards by remaining knowledgeable about existing, new, and future legislation Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership to create an environment of trust and productivity Other duties as needed Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Professional accounting certification, including CPA, CMA, or CA preferred Seven or more years of experience in a professional accounting position Two or more years of experience in a management role Experience in aviation or MRO industry a plus! High energy self-starter Demonstrable capacity for attention-to-detail, adaptability, and creativity Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly proficient data manipulation and analytical skills Knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards Physical and Work Condition Requirements: This job may have physical requirements that are considered sedentary work. Sedentary work involves sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity and occasional lifting to 15 pounds.
