Receptionist (Part-Time)

About the Position The Receptionist position is primarily responsible for providing a variety of receptionist activities in serving residents, visitors, and team members. The receptionist is expected to ensure that sign‑in procedures are followed, camera views are monitored, lock‑out and keyless lock system alarms are handled immediately, and that people attempting to enter the building at entry points equipped with cameras and buzzers are properly identified before entry is allowed. Additional duties include routing calls, using computer programs for billing and scheduling, collecting resident payments, receiving packages, and other deliveries. Pay rate: $20.00/hr Required hours: 3 pm – 11 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Job Duties Operate telephone console by routing, recording, and delivering messages, and providing coverage to other departments as requested. Reports emergency calls immediately and forwards maintenance calls to appropriate personnel in a timely manner. Run daily report of resident motion sensor check‑in and monitor/report Palcare alarms to appropriate nursing stations. Assist with and/or be responsible for entering information for incident reports, and other records and reports. Print room bookings schedule via Worxhub activity schedule daily. Input transportation requests into Worxhub for the Transportation department to schedule and coordinate. Assist residents and visitors with requests for cab service, van service, and other requests in a polite and proficient manner. Oversee and distribute facility, apartment, and mailbox keys ensuring security guidelines are maintained. Distribute bills to residents in a timely manner and accept payments for further processing. Collect payments for guestrooms, guest and contractor meals; sell and distribute meal tickets; sell stamps; and cash checks for residents as requested. Post charges for residents’ guest meals, lodging, transportation and telephone charges, and send weekly reports to Accounting. Accept medication from the pharmacy and dispense to residents and employees according to specific guidelines and advise pharmacy technician of medication to be delivered on the nursing floors. Receive and direct facility and residents’ guests, notifying residents, signing in visitors, and offering directions, ensuring security guidelines are maintained. Monitor residents’ presence/absence from the facility through check‑in and check‑out procedures. Responsible for giving residents absence slips and submitting credit slips to Accounting. Conduct fire emergency procedures and drills by monitoring systems and notifying appropriate individuals immediately. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent required. Minimum of two years experience in public relations, customer service, or related area required. Excellent verbal communication skills required. Must be able to speak English fluently. Must have computer skills in basic word processing. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with others. Benefits Daily Pay: Work and get paid the same day!
