Job Description Job Title: Customer Service Specialist II Job#: 3047188 Pay and Contract Pay Rate: $20/hr (paid weekly on W2) Contract Duration: 6 month contract to hire Location Albany, New York (Hybrid - 2 days on-site, 3 days work from home). Important: the first 3 weeks of training will be on-site Role Overview An opportunity is available for a Customer Service Specialist II to support the New York State Department of Health Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) program. In this role, you will provide support via telephone and the Internet to resolve issues and respond to customer inquiries. You will be answering inbound phone calls from Medicaid Providers regarding billing or enrollment. These calls require acquired knowledge to understand and assist providers with their Medicaid claims. Key Responsibilities Takes and processes transactions by telephone, internet, and correspondence from customers and representatives. Enters and maintains database records of customer profiles and prepares and maintains status reports. Acts as a liaison for customers. Maintains knowledge of company products and customer service processes. Required Qualifications Experience: 2+ years of customer service experience. Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Abilities: Strong telephone and verbal communication skills, customer focus, adaptability to different personality types, and the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively. Work Environment This is a hybrid position that requires being in the office two times per week. Candidates must live within a drivable range of the office location.
