Staff Accountant

Job Title: Staff Accountant Location: Louisville, KY Salary: $50,000 – $65,000 annually + Bonus Opportunity Full-Time | On-Site About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our client's growing finance team in Louisville, KY. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and is passionate about maintaining financial accuracy and integrity. Prior experience within the construction industry is preferred! Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and reconciliations Support accounts payable and receivable functions Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Prepare monthly financials Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial operations Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred (internships count!) Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Yardi, Procor) Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Prior experience within the construction industry is preferred!
