Work Arrangement: Fully onsite, five days per week
Salary: $80,000 to $95,000 annually, based on relevant skills and experience

Job Overview

On Cue Hire is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist for a fast-paced media organization in New York City.

This fully onsite role will support employees and leadership across employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, payroll, training, benefits and HR compliance. The ideal candidate is approachable, organized and solutions-oriented, with the judgment and discretion needed to manage sensitive employee matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted HR resource to employees and managers

• Provide guidance on employee relations matters, workplace concerns and conflict resolution

• Support recruiting efforts, including candidate sourcing, interviews and coordination throughout the hiring process

• Manage new-hire onboarding and in-office orientation

• Support the biweekly, full-cycle payroll process

• Identify training needs and help develop and facilitate employee-development programs

• Explain and administer compensation and employee-benefit programs

• Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files and HR documentation

• Help ensure compliance with federal, New York State and New York City employment laws

• Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures

• Analyze HR metrics, identify trends and help improve HR programs and processes

• Contribute to a fast-paced, energetic and evolving workplace culture

• Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of progressive human resources experience

• Working knowledge of HR best practices and applicable employment laws

• Experience supporting employee relations, recruiting, onboarding and benefits administration

• Experience assisting with full-cycle payroll

• Knowledge of HRIS platforms; UltiPro or UKG experience is preferred

• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

• Excellent critical-thinking, problem-solving and organizational abilities

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and produce results in a fast-paced environment

• Experience using HR technology to improve processes and the employee experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook

• High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality

• Positive, collaborative and solutions-oriented approach

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred

• Master's degree is a plus

• Media-industry experience is a plus

• Ability to work onsite in New York City five days per week
