Nurse Sonographer - SouthwestPrestonwood Pregnancy Center - Southwest - Dallas, TX 75237OverviewPosition Type Part-Time Education Level College Preferred Category NurseDescriptionResponsible for nursing functions, providing patient care, and performing limited medical obstetrical ultrasounds at Prestonwood Pregnancy Center – Southwest ("PPC – SW").Responsibilities:Work with clinic staff and volunteers to coordinate flow of patientsPerform limited medical screening and pregnancy testsPerform limited medical obstetric ultrasounds in accordance with delegated ordersComplete initial patient assessmentsAssist with patient/family education and instruct patients as directedMaintain patient documentation according to clinic protocolDocument and report test resultsAssist with follow up of patient's medical conditions and test results.Collect and run lab testsIncorporate principals of safety in all clinical operationsDemonstrate safe use of equipment related to patient careMaintain infection control measures with all patient contactOther duties as assignedQualificationsRequirements:Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of a Bible believing and preaching ministryPro-life in word and pro-love in actionPossess and maintain current RN licensePossess or be willing to obtain sonography trainingComply with state and professional licensing and continuing education requirementsExcellent communication skills, bilingual in English and Spanish a plusHigh level of confidentialityExperience working with volunteers a plusCommitment to continued professional development especially in the areas of obstetrics, gynecology and women's health issues.Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office productsFlexible weekly schedule to include some evenings and every other SaturdayPossess current Texas driver license, personal vehicle insurance and a clear driving record for clearance to drive PPC mobile unit as neededWillingness to serve at other PPC locations as neededAble to perform physical activities that require moving one's whole body, such as walking, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling a cart, and use of stairs, and ability to lift up to 10 lbs. without assistance
