Position: Excess & Specialty Insurance Underwriters (SME Focus) Type: Contract Compensation: $90–$110/hour Location: Remote Duration: 1 week Commitment: ~20 hours per expert Role Responsibilities Evaluate underwriting processes for SME/commercial accounts in the Excess & Specialty Insurance market. Design strategies for risk selection, pricing, and coverage structuring. Review portfolio management techniques to optimize underwriting performance. Collaborate with leading specialty carriers and E&S platforms to enhance underwriting standards. Work independently and asynchronously to meet project deadlines. Qualifications Must-Have Based in the United States. 3+ years of experience in Excess & Specialty Insurance underwriting. Direct experience underwriting SME/commercial risks . Strong understanding of risk selection, pricing, coverage structuring, and portfolio management. Preferred 5+ years of experience in Excess & Specialty Insurance underwriting.
