Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides critical nursing care to diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients, within a high-acuity environment. They coordinate emergency interventions, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with medical teams to ensure swift, effective care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced nursing assessments, interventions, and patient education in a fast-paced emergency setting.
• Utilize specialty equipment such as rapid infusors and Arctic Sun to deliver targeted therapies.
• Assess and prioritize patient needs, ensuring timely responses to critical changing conditions.
• Document patient care accurately in the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient treatment plans.
• Maintain certification and certification updates, including AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.

Qualifications:

• Current NY RN license and valid drivers licenses matching address demographics.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing, including pediatrics, with demonstrated travel experience.
• Active certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work independently in high-pressure situations.
• Experience working in a 64-bed emergency unit with multiple patient tracks, including trauma and psych.
