MedSurg Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shifts

Registered Nurse MedSurg Location: Utica, New York Pay Rate: $2,100 To $ 2,376/Week Contract: 13 Weeks Schedule: Night Shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts Experience: Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical RN experience with Stroke Stepdown experience required About the Role We are seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (Med Surg RN) for a 13-week contract opportunity in Utica, New York. This position is based on a busy Stroke Stepdown unit, providing high-quality nursing care for patients with neurological, cardiac, pulmonary, renal, and general medical conditions while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care for Medical Surgical and Stroke Stepdown patients.

Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor neurological and medical conditions.

Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR and update individualized care plans.

Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes.

Float to other assigned units as needed while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Requirements

Active New York RN License required.

Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical RN experience with Stroke Stepdown experience.

Current BLS and NIHSS Certifications required.

Previous travel nursing experience required.

Experience with EPIC EMR and ability to work night shifts and floating assignments.
