Tax Senior

What you will do
- Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individual, corporate, and partnership clients
- Lead tax research projects to resolve compliance questions and uncover planning opportunities
- Reduce client tax liability through proactive identification of savings strategies and credits
- Serve as the day-to-day client contact: gather financials, set timelines, and communicate results clearly
- Review and coach junior staff work product, providing real-time feedback to build team capacity
- Ensure all filings meet current federal and state regulatory requirements and internal quality standards
- Collaborate with partners on complex planning engagements and special projects
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related business field
- 3+ years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting firm
- Active CPA license or demonstrated progress toward licensure (e.g., parts passed)
- Strong technical knowledge of individual (1040), corporate (1120/S), and partnership (1065) taxation
- Proficiency with professional tax preparation and research software
Nice to have
- Experience with state and local tax (SALT) nexus analysis
- Exposure to trust and estate returns (1041)
- Prior experience supervising or mentoring staff associates
Pay and benefits
- Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 per year (based on experience and credential status)
