Accountant

Jefferson Wells is looking to network with Accounting Professionals who are available for contract/consulting jobs. Most of these projects are remote, some hybrid and local to the metro Philadelphia market. W2 hourly based on experience and client requirements: $50 - $85 hr **Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:** + Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close + Organize and update financial records as needed. + Analyze transactions and prepare reports. + Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments. + Forecast revenue and analyze profit margins. + Oversee ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivable. + Participate in budgeting processes. + Brief senior managers regularly on the company's financial status. + Liaise with Tax Accountants to track tax payments and returns. **Requirements:** + BS degree in Accounting or Finance. + CPA certification preferred. + Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). + Experience with accounting software/ERP systems (SAP and NetSuite preferred) + Advanced MS Excel knowledge (experience with formulas, VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
