About the Role:

Kleen Test Products (KTP) is seeking a Sales Manager - Retail to help drive continued growth within our retail business. This role is responsible for managing and growing key customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. As a trusted partner to our customers, the Sales Manager - Retail will serve as a key liaison between external retail partners and internal teams while supporting successful product launches and strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned retail customers.
• Develop, maintain, and strengthen customer relationships to support long-term business growth.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and prospective retail accounts.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to support successful product launches and ongoing customer initiatives.
• Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitive activity, and emerging retail opportunities.
• Attend industry trade shows and customer meetings to support business development efforts.
• Partner with internal teams to identify innovative products and solutions that meet customer needs.
• Ensure timely communication and exceptional service throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Manage multiple customer projects and priorities while maintaining a high level of responsiveness and accuracy.

Requirements

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree, with a focus on business.
• Must have prior sales experience selling direct to retailers.
• Strong knowledge of the consumer products marketplace including retailers, products, formulas and regulations.
• Ability to understand market trends as well as experience in new customer development.
• This position requires a valid driver’s license, as travel will be required to complete the essential functions listed above.
• Requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret business information, journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to write reports and findings and present to all levels of management in a clear and concise manner.
• Excellent customer relationship management experience and a strong ability to solve complex problems effectively to meet and/or exceed customer expectations.
• Strong mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference as well as the ability to apply such concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Demonstrated excellence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point) and Microsoft Outlook.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with information.
• Excellent multi-tasking skills along with ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining composure and respect for everyone.
• Maintain and expand knowledge in all aspects of retail sales by continuously learning and applying best practices to the organization.
