- Lead preparation and analysis of key financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, general ledgers, and attorney hour summaries
- Direct billing operations and manage a high-performing billing team to ensure accurate, timely processing
- Oversee full-cycle accounts payable and receivable, encompassing vendor invoices and client payment management
- Maintain and reconcile multiple escrow and operating accounts within QuickBooks
- Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Serve as a trusted advisor to attorneys and staff on timekeeping, billing compliance, and best practices
- Deliver actionable financial insights to leadership to inform strategic decision-making
- Align bonus and billing data with payroll and senior management to support accurate compensation reporting
- Bachelor's degree in accounting (or related field)
- 5+ years of accounting experience in an insurance defense firm
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, Clio Manage, and Microsoft Office
- Solid understanding of GAAP
- Proven ability to manage teams and work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive
