Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech Language Pathologist in a vibrant educational environment near Gaithersburg, MD. This on-site school-based position runs from August 25, 2026, to June 11, 2027, with a preferred commitment of 35 hours per week. Candidates open to part-time must be able to work at least 3 days each week. You may be assigned to up to two or three schools, with schedules tailored for convenience—such as four days at one location, one at another. Caseloads will vary, starting lower at the beginning of the year and peaking at up to 57 students, with elementary assignments up to 40 and middle school around 48 at peak.

Your supervisor will work directly with you to ensure assignments match your comfort level, experience, and location.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
• Current and active Maryland SLP license (license images required for credentialing)
• CCCs preferred, but clinical fellows with strong references are encouraged to apply
• On-site availability is a must for this role
• One year of school-based experience unless exceptional references and relevant experience are presented
• Successful completion of a House Bill background check is required
• Please indicate if you have previously worked at this district when applying

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language services to assigned caseload across elementary and/or middle school age groups
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with school faculty, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Document progress and maintain thorough records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
