Plant Planner/Scheduler Summary of Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Leadership ability to Engage, Communicate and motivate RACO Team members in a noncontrolling manner.

· Strong Team Player - Maintains open communication and a strong functional relationship with all production/fabrication areas.

Interface with all Departments

• Support Hour by Hour Procedure to identify priorities and execute to meet weekly/monthly deadlines
• 1. This includes/requires multiple trips to the production/fabrication floor hourly/daily.
• 2. Conversing via radio is acceptable form of communication, please note: Some areas of the plant are louder than others.
• 3. Check orders for inventory availabilities when needed.
• 4. Works with Customer Service on customer expedite requests.
• Reviews the daily/weekly capacity plan with RACO Team to ensure daily production schedules maximize profitability and meet customer needs as first priority.
• Analyzes production and processes data as needed to track improvement progress.
• Promotes teamwork throughout the plant and addresses issues that impact teamwork between all departments in the plant.
• Communicates and take the lead in daily production meetings.

· 1. Review all Items listed for two weeks at the Daily Production Meeting.

· 2. Work with department leads to create visual displays of WIP’s on the plant floor.

· 3. Other duties as assigned.

• Update scheduling post on an hourly/as needed basis to ensure customer service knowledge of order locations/production progress.
• Reconcile weekly. This will consist of (what needs to be rescheduled for quicker/extended shipments), and review the backlog of the Houston Stock orders to see what should be planned next and what orders are already planned for scheduling (Greg’s Hot List).
• Participates in and completes company-required training programs.
• Calculate on time reports based on shipping records.
• Monitor material receipts to communicate to Production leads information yielded.

· Reconciling daily for Uncompleted Work Orders for Each Department. Reschedule based on new information.

· All code/Rush should be communicated and updated daily.

Critical to Quality and Growth:

· Collaborate with RACO team members in a timely manner. Anticipate material requirements and proactively address any potential shortages or delays between fabrication and purchasing, and customer service.

· 1. Take on process improvement tasks to ensure work performed addresses root causes of failures.

· 2. Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives.

· 3. Help with training of daily procedures and tasks. This will help ensure that the plant planner functions can and will be performed while vacation/sick and or holidays are taken.

· Implement Overall Plant Process Flow Activities including: scheduling, assisting with creating a continuous improvement environment and a high level of employee involvement that is conducive to achieving plant objectives. Through continuous and open communications with the RACO TEAM, performs all duties to promote overall operations plant effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
