Production Planning Manager

Operations Management Support – Ennis, Texas Manage production planning activities and resources to reduce cost. Requires knowledge of plant capacities, equipment and processes and an understanding of their interaction. Responsibilities Own order fulfillment and line efficiency for a poultry production plant Create production schedule for poultry production plant twice daily ensuring customer needs are met, relative to operational capabilities Conduct daily meeting with sales and operations to review the schedule and inventory Update sales forecast with accurate estimations for bird weight and head kill Work closely with operations during the day to ensure schedule adherence and order fulfillment Reconcile Inventory on a daily basis to ensure no waste or spoilage Advise the sales team on available to sell volumes Prioritize key and strategic customers Work with 6 partner plants to aid in order fulfillment Spend time on the operational floor and understand the process flow of the plant Qualifications Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task Thorough understanding of poultry industry and bird cutouts Intermediate skills required for Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Advanced Excel skills preferred Problem solve/root cause analysis Knowledge of SAP a plus Benefits Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment Paid Time Off: Sick leave, vacation, company observed holidays, or any other statutorily required paid leave 401(k): Company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule Base salary range of $67,878.00 – $82,471.50 based upon experience Discretionary Bonus: Eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, amount varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program Career Development: Dedicated to supporting professional growth through continuous learning opportunities and a focus on career growth through various learning and development programs Compliance The Company conducts drug, alcohol, and background checks for all new team members post-offer and prior to the start of employment.
