We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pre-Litigation Attorney to join our team and handle high-value personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will focus on overseeing the medical treatment aspects, managing a team of case managers, and conducting settlement negotiations for complex cases.As a Pre-Litigation Attorney, you will ensure that clients receive the proper medical care, oversee the management of their cases, and focus on negotiating settlements. You will lead and mentor a team of case managers to ensure efficient case progression and that all necessary medical documentation is gathered and addressed.Responsibilities include:Oversee and manage a team of case managers to ensure efficient handling of personal injury casesFocus on ensuring clients are receiving appropriate and timely medical treatmentDirectly handle settlement negotiations for high-value cases, striving to reach favorable outcomes for clientsReview medical records and communicate with clients to ensure ongoing care and document treatment progressCollaborate with insurance companies, physicians, healthcare providers, and other involved parties to negotiate settlementsMonitor case timelines, ensuring that all aspects of the pre-litigation process are progressing smoothlyProvide guidance and support to the case managers in their tasks, including gathering medical records and ensuring treatment is aligned with the case's needsAssess cases for settlement readiness and strategize on how to best approach settlement negotiationsEnsure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements for handling pre-litigation casesSkills & Requirements:Active license to practice law in California2+ years of experience handling personal injury cases, with a focus on settlement negotiations in high-valuation casesStrong understanding of personal injury law, including medical treatment management and case evaluationExcellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving favorable settlementsLeadership experience, with the ability to oversee and mentor a team of case managersStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and external partiesAbility to analyze complex medical and legal documentsDetail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a high caseloadWe offer an excellent compensation package including:Guaranteed competitive pay planProficiency/performance bonus401K80 hours of vacation the first year of employmentPaid HolidaysMedical, dental, vision, and life insuranceSupplemental insuranceOpportunity for advancementAt BD&J, we have a clear vision: to be the place where a diverse mix of talented people want to come, stay, and do their best work.
