Curbside Delivery Team Lead

Schedule: Will include one weekend day

Pay: $25 per hour

Job Summary:

The Curbside Team Lead supports the daily execution of delivery operations within the Curbside department. This role provides hands-on leadership to drivers, monitors DOT compliance, supports multi-state delivery coordination, and ensures delivery standards are met across all service areas.

The Team Lead assists the Curbside Manager in maintaining operational efficiency, safety compliance, driver accountability, and overall customer satisfaction. This position may operate delivery routes as needed to maintain coverage and serves as a primary point of contact for driver-related and customer-related concerns during daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily Operations Support
• Support daily operations of the Curbside department.
• Communicate route feedback, adjustments, and operational concerns to the routing team.
• Provide input on multi-state delivery orders to ensure service standards and scheduling needs are met.
• Assist with operational adjustments based on volume, call-ins, or service issues.
• Cover vacations, PTO, or sick days by running delivery routes as required.
• Ensure delivery paperwork, documentation, and system updates are completed accurately.

Driver Management & Compliance

• Provide day-to-day direction and support to delivery drivers.
• Help resolve driver issues in real time, including customer concerns, route challenges, or on-road issues.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customer issues that arise during deliveries and escalate when necessary.
• Monitor and manage driver DOT hours and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Oversee drivers’ hours, scheduling awareness, and time tracking accuracy.
• Approve time-off requests in coordination with the Curbside Manager.
• Enforce company policies, safety standards, and delivery procedures.
• Handle and document driver damages, ensuring proper reporting, communication, and follow-up according to company procedures.
• Maintain driver expectations regarding professionalism, safety, and customer service performance.

Fleet & Equipment Oversight

• Maintain truck maintenance schedules and coordinate service as needed.
• Ensure routine truck inspections and required documentation are completed.
• Oversee cleanliness and organization of trucks and delivery equipment.
• Monitor and report vehicle damage or mechanical issues promptly.

Qualifications:

• Internal and external customer friendly.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations.
• Basic computer and maintenance skills.
• Management capabilities
• Self-motivated.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Legally able to drive a company vehicle by maintaining a valid driver’s license and be insurable by our Company’s insurance. Must be 21 years old to be insured by Homemakers.

Physical & Environmental Expectations:

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Lift, push, pull, and maneuver products and equipment weighing up to 150 lbs.
• Repetitive bending, lifting, and arm movements.
• Operate forklifts and work at varying heights.
• Work indoors and outdoors in warehouse conditions including noise, dust, and temperature changes.
• No smoking or vaping permitted in company vehicles.
