Job Summary:

The Customer Pick-Ups Team Lead supports daily operations within the Customer Pick-Ups department by coordinating floor execution, assisting team members, and ensuring a positive customer experience. This role is hands-on and actively involved in loading customer vehicles with furniture, ensuring products are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently.

In addition to customer pick-ups, the Team Lead assists with customer returns, exchanges, and truck returns as needed to support overall workflow, maintain service levels, and ensure smooth product flow across departments.

Schedule: Will include both weekend days

Pay: $23 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Floor Execution

• Coordinate daily customer pick-up workflow and task assignments.
• Ensure pick-up orders are wrapped, tagged, staged, and ready prior to customer arrival.
• Load furniture into customer vehicles safely and securely, following proper lifting and loading procedures.
• Verify items are correctly identified and matched to customer orders.
• Assist with resolving order issues prior to or during customer arrival.
• Support processing of customer returns and exchanges when required.
• Assist with unloading and handling truck returns as directed.
• Maintain organized, clean, and customer-ready pick-up and staging areas.

Customer Experience

• Greet and assist customers during the pick-up and return process.
• Clearly communicate loading procedures, safety expectations, and next steps with customers.
• Ensure customers receive the correct items in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
• Address minor customer concerns and escalate issues to management when appropriate.
• Maintain professionalism and composure during high-volume and peak periods.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with high customer contact.
• Positive/helpful attitude towards management, co-workers and customers.
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
• Able to work at varying heights.
• Self-motivated.
• Respectful.

Physical & Environmental Expectations:

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Lift, push, pull, and maneuver products and equipment weighing up to 150 lbs.
• Repetitive bending, lifting, and arm movements.
• Operate forklifts and work at varying heights.
• Work indoors and outdoors in warehouse conditions including noise, dust, and temperature changes.
