This position is a day shift available for 13 weeks, with a requirement to work 40 hours per week. Extension requests are highly probable for this travel position. Start time varies. No weekends or holidays. Travel Assignment. Contract Length: 13 weeks. Required Certificates: ARRT, BLS required (AHA). Active CA License/Certification. 2+ Years of experience required. Specialty Overview As a radiation therapist, candidates work under an oncologist and physicist as part of a medical team to prepare patients and administer radiation treatments for cancer and some other conditions. They take precise measurements of patients for treatment and may fit them with specialized equipment to be used during sessions. During treatment, they will monitor the patient's responses, including side effects, and may adjust the schedule or doses of radiation accordingly.
