Associate Staff Physician (Part-Time)

Overview The Department of Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH) and Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (COEH) at the UCI Joe C. Wen School of Population and Public Health is seeking an occupational medicine physician to serve as a contract staff physician. The role involves providing clinical care at the COEH Irvine Occupational and Environmental Medicine Clinic and, if desired, participating in the training of residents in the UCI OEM Residency Program. The position also includes a voluntary HS Clinical Faculty Appointment. Responsibilities Provide occupational and environmental medicine clinical care to patients within the COEH clinic. Assist in the training and supervision of residents in the UCI OEM Residency Program. Support backup coverage when the primary physician is unavailable. Participate in surveillance examinations at contracted locations as required. Maintain documentation using electronic medical records (Epic) and comply with hospital policies and procedures. Required Qualifications Board certified in occupational medicine. Eligible to hold a UC Irvine Physician and Surgeon Medical Group membership. Eligible for UCI Medical Staff privileges. Minimum of three years of prior occupational medicine clinic experience. Current or eligible license to practice in the State of California. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, manage workload pace, and delegate to staff. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of standard hospital policies, procedures, and forms. Experience with electronic medical records systems, particularly Epic. Experience in supervising medical residents. Additional Information Position is available at 20‑60% time, paid hourly on an as‑needed basis.
